Mr. Garsten has been operating his dealership since 1959. His first building was at 1175 West Main Street in Riverhead. The current location of Buoy One Restaurant. He has been past President of the Riverhead Chamber of Commerce, President of Riverhead Rotary, past Chairman of Eastern Long Island United Way and Chairman of Peconic Bay Medical Center. Currently he is Vice Chairman of Peconic Bay Medical Center Foundation. In 2006 Mr. Garsten was awarded the Time Magazine Quality Dealer Award.
